My fellow TARCians

As the president of Tunku Abdul Rahman University College Alumni Association, Singapore (TAS) for the term 2022-2024, I would like to pen down some of my personal thoughts and some latest updates on TARUC to share with everyone.
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step
On 12 April 2022, that journey was further enhanced when TARUC was officially upgraded to a full-fledged university, namely the Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT). We wish TAR UMT every success in the future and are happy to note that TAS continues to enjoy the strong support from the Alumni Office of TAR UMT.
Once a TARCian, always a TARCian
To recap, the mission and commitment of our Alumni Association is to keep all our alumni connected to our school, particularly for those of us who are residing in Singapore. Although we have left our alma mater many years ago, it remains very important for us to continue promoting a sense of belonging and camaraderie amongst graduates of TARC, TARUC and now TAR UMT.
The value of our alumni is not just the knowledge and insights gained but also the camaraderie made during our studies and across batches of alumnus that went before us and those that are coming after us.
Looking back over the last 3 years since TAS was formed, TAS has managed to weather the Covid-19 pandemic relatively well. Despite the constraints of social distancing, we still managed to regularly organize some mini social gatherings. Now that Singapore is moving into the endemic stage, more social activities will be carried out through special interest groups.
If we wish to run fast, we should run alone. If we wish to run far, we should run together.
As all alumni are a part of TAS, we welcome everyone to contribute your ideas and time in order to bring TAS to a higher plain.
On behalf of the TAS Council and myself, we would like to invite you to join us, actively participate in all TAS activities whenever you can and tap into the TAR UMT network!
