TUNKU ABDUL RAHMAN UNIVERSITY COLLEGE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, SINGAPORE (TAS)
Once a Tarcian, Always a Tarcian

Alumni President's Message
My fellow TARCians,
Once a TARCian, always a TARCian.
I am deeply honoured and grateful for your trust in re-electing me as President of the Tunku Abdul Rahman University College Alumni Association, Singapore (TAS) for the term 2026–2028. Having previously served from 2019 to 2022, it is both a privilege and a responsibility that I carry with great pride.
When TAS was first established in Singapore with our patron Mr Teng Ngek Lian, it was more than just an alumni network — it was a bold step to bring together overseas TARCians, to create a home away from home. Today, as one of the earliest overseas alumni communities, we stand as a testament to what connection, shared identity, and collective effort can build across borders.
Why does this matter?
Because no matter where we are in the world, our roots remain the same. The values, friendships, and experiences we gained from our alma mater have shaped who we are today. TAS exists to keep that spirit alive — to reconnect, to support one another, and to create opportunities for both personal and professional growth.
Over the years, we have seen how powerful this community can be. From small gatherings to meaningful collaborations, each interaction strengthens our bond and reminds us that we are part of something bigger than ourselves.
As we look ahead to this new term, my vision is simple yet important:
To grow our overseas alumni presence in Singapore,
to welcome more new members into our community,
and to encourage each of you to contribute — not just by attending events, but by sharing your ideas, your time, and your experience.
Because TAS is not built by a committee alone.
It is built by all of us.
I strongly believe that when we come together, we create more than just connections — we create impact. Whether it is supporting fellow alumni, mentoring the next generation, or giving back to our alma mater, every contribution matters.
Let us continue to strengthen this network, to support one another, and to proudly carry forward the TARCian spirit wherever we go.
On behalf of the TAS Council, I warmly invite all fellow TARCians in Singapore to join us, reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and be part of this growing community.
Once again, thank you for your trust and support. I look forward to serving alongside all of you in this new chapter.
Best wishes,
Lily Tan, Dr, FCCA
President, TAS (2026–2028)
